At Northbrook UMC, you don’t have to have it all figured out or fit a certain mold. Here, you’ll find a community that seeks God together, serves our neighbors with compassion, and supports every person as God’s beloved, exactly as they are.
Whether you’re brand new to church, returning after time away, or searching for a place where your kids and family can grow in faith, you are welcome here. We believe in a God whose love makes no exceptions and forgets no one.
Visiting a new church can feel a little overwhelming, so we want you to know exactly what to expect when you walk through our doors. Here are answers to some of the most common questions we hear from new individuals and families:
What is it like?
Our worship is joyful, welcoming, and relaxed. You will hear music, stories, prayers, and messages that connect faith to everyday life. People often say they feel at home here.
What about my kids?
Kids and youth are at the heart of who we are. During worship, they join us up front for a kid-centered story and prayer, then head back to the classroom where they learn, wonder, create, and grow together. All ages are welcome, and families are free to choose what works best for them.
What do I wear?
Come comfortable. You will see everything from jeans to business casual. What matters most is being here together.
How can I get connected?
Whether you are looking for a church home, a place for your kids to grow, or a community to serve alongside, there is a place for you at Northbrook UMC. Stop by the Welcome Table on Sunday, visit our ministries tab, or reach out to us anytime - we would love to get to know you!
