It is still summer!

PST: Contrary to what the stores are telling us, IT’S STILL SUMMER.

For most people, the Fourth of July is a time of celebration with friends and family; a half way point through summer. But in the land of commercialism, it’s back to school time! School supplies fill the shelves, and Costco even has their Halloween decorations on display.
Don’t give in to the rush! Just as we make an effort to keep the Sabbath as a day of rest and family, we must remember that there is still a lot of summer left. So, fill it with BBQs, books, and boats. Or maybe- fill it with nothing.
And parents: enjoy your summers with your children. You only have 18 of them. 🙂
