CROP WALK from Northfield Community Church
Save the Date: Sunday, October 21 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm
The 2018 CROP Walk will be held this year in Northfield, IL. The 5 km walk will kick off at 1:00 pm from the host church – Northfield Community Church at 400 Wagner Road (corner of Willow and Wagner).
What is the CROP Walk? – This is a walk to raise money and awareness of the problem with Hunger in our world. One quarter of the money raised by our walk will go to local Hunger/Pantry organizations. NUMC has participated in the CROP Walk for over 30 years.
The CROP walk is organized by Church World Service (www.cwsglobal.org), an interdenominational Christian organization founded in 1946.
The Glenbrook CROP Walk has always been scheduled in late October around the fall foliage season. With (hopefully) a sunny afternoon this means the CROP Walk is a great occasion to get some exercise outside to support a worthy cause!
Everyone at NUMC is encouraged to participate, either as a walker or a supporter (financial backing of one or more walkers).
If you are interested in walking contact Peter Greulich (847-272-5857 or email@example.com).
To financially support one or more of our walkers you can go online to (www.crophungerwalk.org/glenbrook) or at the CROP bulletin board in Penberthy Hall.
Let’s make the NUMC walkers the biggest and best funded group at the Glenbrook CROP Walk in Northfield on October 21st
